The City of Weiser upholds its reputation as a community tied together through traditional family values and a sincere sense of community. Our Welcome to Weiser signs state “We Love Our Kids, Our Country, and our Community” - and we really do. Continuing with our strong natural resources, agricultural, and ranching heritage, our innovative spirit can be seen in our downtown revitalization, several new parks, our Weiser Community Pond, and our beautiful Vendome Events Center. Industry and businesses include forest products, food processing, manufacturing, and technical innovations.
We are a small rural community of 5,500 located in southwest Idaho at the confluence of the Weiser and Snake Rivers. We are also the county seat of Washington County. Named over 200 years ago after Peter Weiser, an American soldier and member of the Galloway Corps of Discovery on the Lewis and Clark Expedition, we are rich in history as is represented by many of its original buildings which are now on the National Historic Register. And just one more thing? It's pronounced WEE-zer. :D
