About the Chamber:
The Chamber works every day to promote Weiser and Washington County. We talk about our amazing recreational opportunities, events, and shopping. We tell people about our terrific schools, hospital, low crime rate, friendly community, and how we believe in neighbors helping neighbors. We talk about our low costs of doing business, reasonable tax rates, and competitive real estate costs. We know how important it is to attract new businesses and families to our wonderful area, and how intelligent, sustainable growth is crucial to our future. We are proud to speak on behalf of Weiser and Washington County; we love our community.
Let us work for you. Bring down your fliers and business cards so we can display and distribute them. (Need help creating them? We can help there too!) Come to the monthly luncheons (third Tuesdays of every month at noon; locations vary so watch the Weiser Chamber facebook page as well as your emails). You will have an opportunity to introduce yourself and give a quick commercial for your business or your organization. If you need a few minutes to talk about something, just let us know in advance.
The Greater Weiser Area Chamber of Commerce was established in 1948. That makes us one of the five oldest corporations in Washington County, excluding cities and churches!
Our mission statement reads "The purpose of the Greater Weiser Area Chamber of Commerce is to support and enhance business and economic development of the Weiser Area."
While that's a great start, we believe there's a whole lot more to it than that. We do our best to promote our members through many forums - emails, Facebook, our 'Connections' publication (those laminated sheets you probably glanced at while you were waiting for your lunch), our monthly luncheons, etc. Member businesses are referred first and foremost to the many visitors and callers we get every day. We encourage EVERYONE to shop local. It begins with us. We preach and practice world class customer service and believe, strongly, that everyone deserves dignity and respect.
